This company have been established for 20+ years, have a robust revenue stream and are aiming to be major players in the Renewables market. This business are an engineering design consultancy with a great reputation, who since their creation have gone from strength to strength and who currently have an exciting pipeline of new contracts to help build a secure future in their Solar offerings.
THE ROLE:
• Leading project design, and for quality of work in developing final construction documents as well as concept designs or Design Development drawings.
• Managing client requested tasks, timelines, deliverables and conduct on-site investigations in North East area (1 site visit per month on average)
• Design and specifying medium voltage systems as well as final inspections
• Ability to independently complete the following engineering tasks:
o Battery Energy Storage and Solar PV design
o Design drafting of construction documents using AutoCAD
o Voltage calculations and conductor / raceway sizing
o Electrical distribution design and single line preparation
o Medium voltage design and specifications
o Power studies using ETAP
o Utility coordination
o Code review
o Preparation of specifications
THE PERSON:
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• Strong AutoCAD skills and knowledge of software
• Demonstrated ability to provide quality construction documents working in a mid or senior level design role, while mentoring junior level design staff
• Ideally located in the New Jersey office 1 day per week or remote if in the North East area and able to commute easily to various locations approx. 2 hours drive from New Jersey.
