Green Ridge Solar is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Solar Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our design department, you will play a crucial role in creating accurate and efficient solar system designs that meet our clients' needs and comply with all relevant codes and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform and review Physical Site Audits (PSAs) for completeness and potential issues, including job site walk-throughs, electrical interconnection, and structural integrity assessments.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC 2023) and related industry standards.
• Coordinate effectively with project managers to address project conditions, limitations, and timelines.
• Create detailed electrical 1-line or 3-line diagrams, site maps, and structural drawings using AutoCAD based on site survey data.
• Prepare and submit plans for structural and electrical engineering review as required.
• Coordinate with local utilities to ensure projects meet net metering design requirements.
• Assemble complete permit packets for timely submission to Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Comprehensive product knowledge of solar modules, racking, inverters, batteries, Balance of System (BOS) components, and related equipment.
• Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) related to solar, battery storage, and basic construction practices.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction and structural engineering principles.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and design software.
• In-depth understanding of solar photovoltaic design and systems for residential and commercial applications.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
