We are a specialty packing, wood Crating and shipping company based in La Jolla. We are currently looking for skilled, hard-working professionals to join our team. We are seeking a Retail Shipping Store Associate to become an integral part of our team. You will be responsible for assisting in selling products, merchandise, and wood crating and shipping services in a retail packaging and shipping setting in order to drive company revenue.

Responsibilities:

• Opening and closing the store.
• Welcome and identify customer needs
• Explain products and services to customers
• Enter and process orders
• Package and ship orders
• Monitor inventory to ensure product is in stock
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints when needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Friendly with the ability to build rapport with customers
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong negotiation skills
• Someone who can make a decision, but won’t hesitate to ask for help when needed.
• Comfortable using a computer
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• You must have the ability to be nice, patient and demonstrate common sense and courtesy.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass a background check.

The following are preferred but not required:

• Past experience in shipping, wood working, wood crating and warehouse experience.
• Good with computers and worked with a shipping POS systems. 
• Experience with the programs Microsoft Word and Excel, Gmail. Skilled in packaging, and basic problem solving in those areas.
• Good driving record
• Able to lift 25-50 lbs. safely
• Desire to learn the business, apply what you've learned and work proficiently.

• Hours are M-F 10:00 AM - 2 PM (some extended hours and weekends during peak times)
• Pay is $18 hour.
