Job Description

Job Purpose: Protects information assets by planning, testing, and supervising disaster recovery operations. Plays a key role in coordinating and managing disaster recovery projects, ensuring they are delivered on-time and within budget. The project manager will work with stakeholders, government agencies, local communities and partner organizations. Candidate must at least 5 years' experience and, or, exceed skillfully with the ability to support all of the requirements listed below. Duties:

• Develops disaster recovery preparedness by researching, developing, and enforcing policies.
• Plans for disasters by establishing procedures, methods, and guidelines and understand policy compliance & eligibility.
• Ensures preparation for disaster recovery by auditing and testing procedures, methods, and guidelines, updating disaster plan.
• Ensures recovery of information by supervising disaster plan implementation; establishing priorities; calling for resources; contracting with recovery specialists.
• Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.
• Grants Management & Financial Oversight. Training & capacity building. Procurement and contract management. Technical writing and documentation.
• Knowledge of FEMA Public Assistance program administration.
• Knowledge of project formulation and damage assessments.
