Summary

The New Product Development Engineer will be responsible for initiating and carrying out development projects as specified.

Key Activities

• Provide input and technical support to Forming Product or Process Development teams.
• Provide leadership to assigned projects for Forming Group.
• Plan and carry out projects as requested.
• Responsible for testing and evaluation of new product and processes.
• Write Standard Operating Procedures for New Product and New Process Development Processes.
• Investigating and resolving manufacturing customer complaints and quality issues.
• Make periodic progress reports and provide field-based support for projects.
• Responsible for Intellectual Property.
• Occasional travel.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of textile products and processes as it relates to PMC.
• Knowledge of paper and papermaking technology as it relates to the design of PMC.
• Experience/Knowledge in new product development, DOE and QFD.

Educations & Experience

• College Degree; Bachelor of Science; preferred degree in textile, chemical or mechanical engineering
• Experience in papermaking, paper machine clothing and/or relevant manufacturing experience.
