Onsite Security Supervisor (Unarmed) - Full-Time | Texas
Excelsior Defense, Inc. , a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned security firm with over 25 years of industry leadership, is seeking a dedicated and dependable Non-Commission Security Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our Texas location. This is a full-time, leadership-focused role ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and experience leading security teams in high-visibility environments.
Key Responsibilities:Serve as the onsite supervisor overseeing a team of 16 security officers across multiple posts.
Ensure 100% post coverage during all assigned shifts - including the expectation to step in and cover shifts as needed.
Provide direct oversight, mentorship, and accountability to site officers.
Manage day-to-day field operations, including scheduling, shift transitions, and incident response coordination .
Serve as the primary point of contact for client communication and operational updates.
Maintain detailed and timely documentation of personnel issues, incidents, and daily activity reports.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure posts are manned and officers are performing duties in accordance with contract requirements and Excelsior Defense standards.
Prior supervisory experience in the private security industry is required.
Must hold a valid Non-Commission Security License (Level II) in the State of Texas.
Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
Flexible availability - must be willing to work any shift necessary , including nights, weekends, or holidays.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
High school diploma or GED; additional training or certifications are a plus.
Military or law enforcement background.
Familiarity with VA, federal, or government site protocols.
Experience using digital patrol systems, guard tracking apps, or timekeeping tools.
Full-Time, hourly role with variable schedule based on site coverage needs. (40 hours per week)
Competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus potential for overtime.
