Entry-Level Financial Analyst

Mayvin is thrilled to support the Financial Services Division Office of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) and is offering an exceptional opportunity for an Entry-Level Financial Analyst. In this role, you will be an integral part of our team, assisting with various financial analysis tasks and contributing to the success of USMS. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must undergo a Background Investigation (BI).

Responsibilities:

• Processes financial documents and transactions from designated Districts using the Unified Financial Management System (UFMS).
• Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with other Federal laws and regulations (e.g., Single Audit Act), generally accepted Government accounting practices, and relevant Office Management and Budget circulars.
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, program policies, and procedures.
• Demonstrates proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software and general knowledge of financial statements.

Qualifications:

• Four-year undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting
• Superior attention to detail
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with superior Excel skills (V-lookup, Pivot Tables, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
