Job Description

Louisa Foods is a leading manufacturer of Frozen Filled Pasta. We are looking for qualified candidates to fill our Entry Level Facilities Engineer position. This position is a “Hands-On” position.

Responsible for supporting and maintaining the Louisa's distribution and manufacturing facility and utility systems. As Entry Level Facilities Engineer, you will help maintain utility systems including HVAC/Refrigerant, Boiler/Hot Water, Compressed Air, Chillers, and other building equipment that supports the Louisa site. Will respond to utility and equipment related maintenance issues during manufacturing campaigns. Identify areas of improvement and contributes to operational performance and compliance. Uphold safety procedures and safe practices. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for equipment, assisting other technicians. The role will also be responsible for providing maintenance support for new processing equipment, installations, and modifications to existing systems.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Perform or oversee repairs and preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
  • Accurately record information on all required logbooks, forms, work order system as assigned.
  • Completes work orders, reviews work orders and documents all maintenance.
  • Coordinates and schedules maintenance and repairs of the equipment and facility with outside contractors and vendors, as well as internal groups such as Manufacturing.
  • Assists Manager in the oversite of Technician and Contractor activities.
  • Reviews work orders and assigns work.
  • Responds to Alarms for critical equipment.
  • Inspects and maintains all building and support equipment in good running order.
  • Orders supplies and materials for maintenance stores.
  • Assists with equipment repairs as needed.
  • Performs assigned housekeeping chores and is primarily responsible for the cleanliness and organizing of all maintenance assigned areas.
  • Helps plan equipment installations as assigned, and supports various small projects as needed.

EDUCATION

  • Engineering degree required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Good mechanical skills and knowledge.
  • Some experience with painting, carpentry, electric, and small-scale construction.
  • Experience working closely with contractors and vendors.
  • Advanced experience in managing parts inventory for equipment.
  • Advanced experience in fast paced cGMP production environment under high quality standards.
  • Experienced working overtime, off shifts and on-call as required.
  • Experienced within a team environment and ability to work independently, self-motivated.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Follow company policies and EH&S safety rules.
  • PC experience required including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
