This role contributes to meet the mission of NRCS by enhancing capacity in field offices and ensuring timely assistance to producers. It is designed to free up NRCS staff for emergency and high-priority responses, not to replace federal staff.This role helps ensure continued progress on conservation planning, practice implementation, and technical assistance, especially in high-demand or disaster-affected areas. Supports, cooperates, and coordinates in an interdisciplinary setting to conduct reviews of project plans to determine technical adequacy. Coordinate the review of agricultural engineering aspects with the overall project.60%Provides a review of the watershed and technical services delivered by NRCS staff and contractors.10%Assists the states on watershed planning, engineering reports, and assessments.10%Provide support to NRCS staff in managing watershed projects.10%Other tasks as assigned related to programs implementation.10%Other:annual information system security, anti-harassment, and civil rights training.
