The Role Join the POLYWOOD® Fabrication Department, where your expertise will help drive the precision and quality behind our manufacturing operations. As a Screw Powder Coat & Equipment Tech, you'll operate and maintain high-precision screw machines, producing critical components that keep our production flowing efficiently. Your attention to detail and mechanical skill will directly contribute to our commitment to excellence, craftsmanship, and continuous innovation. What You'll Do Powder Coating - Prepare screws for coating (clean, dry, and mask as needed)
- Use spray equipment and ovens for consistent, high-quality finishes
- Troubleshoot coating issues and monitor oven settings
Maintenance - Perform regular maintenance on coating booths, guns, and ovens
- Track supplies and handle minor repairs or service needs
Quality & Safety - Follow safety guidelines and wear proper PPE
- Perform and log quality checks for each batch or shift
- Keep your area clean and report any issues

What We're Looking For - Experience: Hands-on experience operating and maintaining screw machines, preferably Aztac Nordic or similar models. Previous experience in a precision manufacturing environment is highly valued.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job orders. Proficiency with precision measuring tools such as micrometers and gauges to inspect finished parts.
- Mechanical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical issues, perform routine maintenance, and make necessary machine adjustments to maintain quality standards.
- Quality-Focused: Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-precision parts that meet or exceed specifications.
- Safety Awareness: Solid understanding of manufacturing safety practices, including proper machine operation and basic lockout/tagout procedures.
- Character: Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, teamwork, problem-solving skills, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
